Community Outreach Educator - Interested in being a DCL Community Outreach Educator

Do you love meeting people and being part of something meaningful? Douglas County Libraries is looking for fun, outgoing volunteers to serve as Community Outreach Educators – a community facing role that helps share the magic of the library beyond our walls. You’ll work alongside staff to represent the library at events like festivals, concerts, open houses, craft fairs, resource fairs, etc. and help people discover the resources and opportunities available to them through the library.
We’re seeking dynamic and friendly individuals (ages 16+) who enjoy engaging with diverse groups and talking about all that DCL has to offer.
Volunteers must have dependable transportation and be available to support programs and events at various locations throughout the county. Training is provided and must be completed before your first shift. No prior experience needed, just a great attitude and a passion for people.
Once you sign up, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will be in touch to discuss this role in more detail.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
