Help us finish the season strong! The Salvation Army is seeking meticulous and trustworthy volunteers to assist with counting the funds collected from the iconic Red Kettles this Christmas season. Your efforts ensure every donation is accounted for and quickly put to work helping our community.
Key Details
- Role: Christmas Kettle Counter
- Commitment: Volunteers are needed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Shift Time: Counting begins promptly at 9:00 AM and continues until all monies from the kettles have been counted and processed for that day (shift end time will vary).
- Location: Waukesha Salvation Army
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Work in a secure, supervised environment as part of a counting team.
- Accurately sort, count, and document various denominations of currency (coins and bills) collected from the Red Kettles.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity regarding all financial matters.
- Assist with other basic administrative tasks related to the counting process as needed.
Important Dates - No Counting
Please note that we will NOT be counting on the following dates:
- Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday, November 27th and Thursday, November 28th.
- Christmas Break: Wednesday, December 25th, Thursday, December 26th, and Friday, December 27th.
Year-End Counting & Final Wrap-Up
- We WILL be counting on Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th (if necessary).
- Any additional counting days required to close out the season will be determined and communicated at that time.
Qualifications
- Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be trustworthy and reliable.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- A background check and safe from harm training are required.
