Inclusion Support Volunteer:

You will be supporting a camper with a disability and act as a buddy, repeat instructions and provide additional encouragement. By applying to this, you are comfortable with travelling to any of the locations listed below.

Please indicate the WEEK(s), you are available to volunteer. The dates are listed by the first day of camp.  You are expected to be available for the whole week of camp (5 days, 4 days for Civic Holiday week #6) you select.  You may select as many weeks as you wish.

North Community Centres

• Angus Glen Community Centre & Library
• Crosby Community Centre 

Summer Camp Dates

Key Duties:

• Greet and welcome participants to the program
• Assist with activities
• Repeat instructions
• Set-up and take-down, with the help of the instructor
• Collect additional supplies needed by instructor
• Report any safety issues to direct supervisor
• Assist with supervision of participants, ensuring their safety at all times
• Provide all participants with an educational and positive experience
• Act as a buddy for a participant with a disability

"Sign-up" if you are interested in this position. Please indicate which WEEK of camp you would like to volunteer.  Remember volunteers are expected to be present for the FULL week of camp. Our programs and participants require a consistent helper through the full program.
You will receive an email with more information if selected. Please do not attend until you are confirmed for which week and location of a North Area camp.
