Dakota County 4-H Outreach Programs - Dakota County 4-H Summer Day Camp Counselor - June 2026

General Description
Dakota County 4-H is a positive youth development organization serving grades K-13. Our programs teach youth to learn, lead, explore and have fun! Dakota County 4-H is looking for positive role models, grades 9-12, that want to develop their leadership skills while working with small groups of youth (grades K-5) at day-long camp programs.
Enrollment in the 4-H program is required prior to participation but there are no fees or other commitments beyond these events. No previous 4-H experience necessary. All lesson plans, supplies, and materials are provided. Expect a wide range of activities planned each day. You will co-lead with another teen and your group sizes will range from 8-12 younger youth. You may be leading a game or activity, helping a younger child that is homesick, and/or keeping your group focused on a guest presenter. Plan for lots of movement and high energy.
See below for this year’s summer camp themes and dates:
June 23 – Under the Big Top
June 24 – Color Me Crazy
