Volunteer with the District of Saanich

Soak up some sunshine while giving back to nature and your community this spring and summer! We’ll be hosting a handful of work parties in some of our most well-loved leisure parks. These activities are anticipated to be 1-1.5 hours in length. A park and safety orientation will be provided at the beginning of each shift. To hear about upcoming clean-up activities, apply here and we'll put you on the mailing list. Ages 15+. 

Qualifications:

• 15 years old or older
• Friendly and reliable
• Follows direction
• Able to move across paved or gravel pathways, grass, and/or wood chips
• Willing to wear provided apparel (high-vis vest) and use protective equipment (gloves, litter pickers)

Application Process:

• Create a volunteer profile online (5-10 minutes). Click the blue "Fill in an Application" button on the righthand side of this page.
• Sign online forms: Waiver, Code of Conduct, and (optional) Photo/Video Release 
• After creating your profile, click "sign up" at the bottom of the page
• Receive an email when recruitment opens for each event
• Sign up for shifts
