Please note, this volunteer opportunity is for Wednesdays from 4-5pm (or 4-4:30pm only.)

Volunteer Role Available:

We are recruiting volunteers for our Wednesday youth STEM programs:

  • Program Leader: Develop simple hands-on curriculum/activities and lead a STEM session for elementary students (K–3), usually around 10 to 12 students. Great for resumes and leadership experience! The activity can be a simple hands on activity such as making slime, or a building a tower with blocks, or a catapult made with craft sticks (no formal presentation necessary, unless you want to!).

Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (or from 4:00 PM to 4:30PM) at Bascom Library.

  • Fingerprinting is required for volunteers ages 18 and older (at no cost to the volunteer).
  • Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, or as needed. Volunteers aren't required to volunteer weekly. Every other week, or once a month may also work!
  • The volunteer position runs from fall (sometime in September) until the end of May.

Help students in grades K through 3 prepare for Academic Success!
