📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to bring companionship and social connection to vulnerable aged care residents, enhancing their well-being and quality of life. Volunteers, supported by Chaplaincy Services and the care team, engage with residents through meaningful social interactions in a residential aged care setting, including those with cognitive impairments. Residents may be experiencing vulnerability due to life changes such as illness, loss of a caregiver, or limited mobility. Volunteers help create a sense of connection through activities like friendly conversations, sharing coffee in the garden, group meals, music, puzzles, or short walks—tailored to each resident’s needs. With the guidance of the care team, volunteers play a key role in fostering a warm, engaging, and supportive environment. 📍Location: Toowoomba Aged Care Facility, 256 Stenner Street Centenary Heights, QLD, 4350
