The Opportunity

The Women in APEGA Advisory Group supports APEGA in its goal of increasing the representation of women in the professions. Over the past decade, the group has made significant contributions to this objective and beyond. We are looking for more voices to continue this important conversation.  

The Impact

Are you a passionate engineer or geoscientist looking to create change? Are you a leader who wants to make sure there’s a seat at the table for everyone? Are you driven to build community and advance access and opportunity within the professions? Now’s your chance. Volunteers in the Women in APEGA group provide key recommendations to APEGA’s RCEO on supporting the engagement and retention of women in engineering and geoscience to ensure the inclusivity and sustainability of the professions..

Time Commitment

Two-year (renewable) term | Approximately 3-5 hours every second month

1x 2-hour virtual meeting every second month (October – May, except December)

1-2 hours of meeting preparation time per meeting

1x 3-hour in-person meeting annually in September in Edmonton (volunteers will be reimbursed for eligible travel expenses)
