Fort Boise Community Center - Teen & Youth Outreach

Make a difference in the lives of local teens or youth. Apply to volunteer to work in our Teen City program, which is held out of South Junior High or Fort Boise Community Center. This program also helps connect school-age youth (grades 1 – 12) to community or recreational events during out-of-school time (out-of-school time includes afterschool, summer, or weekends)

This position may:

  • Lead or assist in activities (STEM, art/crafts, cooking, physical activities/sports) or field trips for youth (grades 6-12) in afterschool recreation program
  • Support transportation of youth to out-of-school recreational activities or community events. This may require driving a city vehicle, which will require a driver background check and additional training. Some volunteer transportation opportunities only require riding on a recreational bus.
  • May work independently with limited supervision after training

Qualifications Required

  • Criminal History Background Check Must be Passed
  • Defensive Driving Must be Complete
  • Drivers License Must be at least Yes
  • Fleet Program Passenger Van Safety Must be Complete
  • Volunteer Handbook Review Must be Complete
  • Volunteer Waiver Must be Complete
