Library Events & Programs - Birthday Party Helper

Enjoy a good party? We need your energy and enthusiasm to help us out!

Birthday party volunteers help our staff with activities, Storytime, crafts, room set-up, and break-down. Volunteers must be comfortable using a hot glue gun, scissors and a mini air compressor.

Staff will show you how to help and will be available during your shift for support.  We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle and snack if you would like.

Please Note: This shift may end after the library is closed for the day. Please be sure you have arranged transportation ahead of time, and have a way to communicate with your ride.

First time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries?

Please email Kim McClintock to schedule a required new volunteer orientation before your first shift.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.

Qualifications Required

  • What is your age range? Must be at least 14 years or older
