 📃 This volunteer role will help to support our program which brings meaning and purpose to improve the lives of people with a disability. 
 
This volunteer role will help to support our program which brings meaning and purpose to improve the lives of people with a disability. Through our program participants learn new skills, enjoy social connections, and generally have a whole lot of fun. If bringing smiles to the faces of the people we support will bring you joy then apply now.  

Our participants amaze us everyday with their resilience, willingness to learn and have a better life. You will be an extra set of hands to help with the glue on a craft, sizzle a sausage, help change the music or pull a few weeds. You’ll be welcoming, compassionate, respectful and if you have any specialist skills for any particular activity – a very valued and welcome addition to the team.  
 
📍Location: Family Services | 91 Maundrell Terrace, West Chermside  

 
✅ What you’ll be doing: 
▪️      Given we have a vast array of activities on most days you could be helping and encouraging participants in any of our activities which include, cooking, sailability, craft, flower group, gardening, BBQ day and music
▪️      Making a cuppa and having a chat with participants
▪️      Basic admin tasks
▪️      Setting up and packing up of activities (light duties)
▪️      Supporting leaders in the planning and coordination of special events excursions or theme days along with research of new activity locations and recipes 
▪️      Research of new activity locations and recipes
▪️      Bring creativity and innovation to enhance our program

💍 Commitment: Get started from as little as 1-2 hours Weekly 
📅 Days: Weekdays
 
☑️ Skills and experience important for this role include: 
       ▪️ No experience required as you will be supported to learn how to share your interests, skills and passions to help others. 
 
☑️ We’ll need to do the following checks before you start: 
▪️      Reference Checks 
▪️      Working with children check
▪️      NDIS Workers Screening Check
