Camp DCL - Camp DCL: Claws, Codes, and Constellations Science Camp

Enjoy spending time with children? Love science?
We are looking for energetic & outgoing teen volunteers who are team players and willing to learn leadership skills to serve as week-long camp volunteers.
At Camp DCL: Claws, Codes, and Constellations Science Camp, you’ll be working with campers ages 5-10 each morning from 8:30am-12:30pm.
Volunteers will:
- Engage in “classroom” duties – greeting campers, passing out equipment and supplies, checking in with campers while on break.
- Support the camp aide and camp instructor.
- Set up and clean up the room each day.
Volunteer spots are limited. Once you register for this opportunity, a Volunteer Services Coordinator will reach out to discuss next steps to ensure you are a good fit for this role. Accepted volunteers are required to watch a 10-minute training video and pass a quiz at least 5 days before the camp starts.
Library staff will be present for ongoing support throughout your shift. Camp volunteers will be provided with a free T-shirt and DCL water bottle. Snacks will be available.
PLEASE NOTE: These are week-long opportunities. By registering below, you are available for the entire week, Monday through Friday, July 6-10, 8:30am-12:30pm.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
