Administrative & Operations Support - Donation Sorting at St. Vincent's Villa

Back to School - Backpack Assembly Line

There's nothing like fresh school supplies to inspire students for the best school year yet! We'll be packing a personalized backpack for every child receiving treatment at St. Vincent's Villa so that they have the same glorious pencils, folders, and notebooks as their BCPS peers on the first day of school (August 25, 2025). Help us pack these bags with care so that the students can put their best foot forward. Volunteers under 16 years old should be accompanied by an adult volunteer.

Donation Sorting (St. Vincent's Villa, Villa Maria School, etc.)

Every year, many generous donors provide toys, supplies, and gift cards to support our clients and families seeking help in our child welfare and behavioral health programs. Most of our donations for the year arrive during a couple weeks that we call "The Season of Wonder." During the holiday season, volunteers will both unload vehicles and carefully sort incoming donations.

Throughout the year, the toys, art supplies, games, and sports equipment take on significant therapeutic purpose when therapists and residential staff use them with the children in treatment settings from St. Vincent's Villa, to Villa Maria School, to one of the many Villa Maria Behavioral Health programs. Volunteers who serve in Inventory Management will stock, sort, manage, and fill orders for clinicians across the region.

The activity will take place at the Donations Trailer located next to St. Vincent's Villa, 2600 Pot Spring Road, Timonium. Once on campus, follow signage for Deliveries. The double-wide trailer is on the left-hand side past the loading dock.

*Backpack assembly of school supply donations will happen in the donation trailer on 8/14/25 10am-12pm.

St. Vincent’s Villa offers residential treatment and diagnostic services for children between the ages of 5 and 13 with significant emotional and behavioral challenges in a state of the art facility. We serve children from all of the State. The goal is to move the children back to the community as soon as they are ready with all the necessary supports and services to ensure long-term success.
