Community Science Programs - Bee Watch

Bee Watch is a community-based science project that engages volunteers in collecting data about bees and other pollinators across a diverse range of habitat in Boise including parks, pollinator gardens, open spaces, and residential spaces. Although bees are the most important and efficient pollinators, our current understanding of the types of bees that utilize different habitats is limited.

This project aims to identify the diversity and abundance of SW Idaho native pollinators through community science.

Together we are inspired by our pollinators and gather the data to inform future management decisions that keep these habitats happy and healthy.

To learn more, please attend the kick-off event on Weds, April 22 from 6:30-7:30pm at the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center and/or the in-person iNaturalist practice on May 8th, 10am, Warm Springs Park.

This project is a partnership between Ada County Soil & Water Conservation District and Boise Parks & Recreation as a part of the Treasure Valley Pollinator Project. https://www.adaswcd.org/treasure-valley-pollinator-project
