Interview & Training Sessions - 2026 SUMMER - SUMMER CAMP TRAINING AND ORIENTATION - Varley Art Gallery, Thursday, June 25, 4:00 PM
Our summer camp volunteers at the Varley Art Gallery are known for their professionalism, dedication and willingness to help children grow and develop. They play a key role in the Gallery’s summer camp programs. As a volunteer with our summer camps, you will assist our camp counselors with the implementation of our camp activities. All volunteers are paired with a camp group and you remain with the same group for the week.
Varley Art Gallery Camps run for 9 weeks. You are welcome to sign up for as many camp weeks as you would like. Sign-ups for camps will be available June 2. Please note assignment priority will be given to volunteers that sign up for a full camp week.
- Week 1: June 29, June 30, July 2, July 3 (No Camp on July 1 due to Canada Day)
- Week 2: July 6-July 10
- Week 3: July 13-July 17
- Week 4: July 20-July 24
- Week 5: July 27-July 31
- Week 6: Aug. 4-Aug. 7 (No Camp on Aug 3 due to Civic Holiday)
- Week 7: Aug. 10-Aug. 14
- Week 8: Aug. 17-Aug 21
- Week 9: Aug 24-Aug 28
Volunteers signing up for this position should feel comfortable dealing with groups, the public and working in a fast-paced environment. Deal with all ages and abilities in an inclusive and courteous manner. There will be indoor and outdoor activities, including being inside historical buildings.
Please attend this mandatory training session if you are interested in volunteering with our 2026 Summer Camps at the Varley Art Gallery.
Volunteers are only required to attend one Summer Camp Training and Orientation Session (Thursday, June 25 or Thursday, July 16).
Enter through the Varley Art Gallery front doors. Staff will greet you, and direct you to the Deacon Room.
