Are you friendly, outgoing, and do you enjoy setting up for events?

Special Events Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that community members receive a premium quality experience. These volunteers supplement the work of our Special Events Staff.

Volunteers will help set up and tear down furniture for events. This opportunity is to support a Sound Bath Event.

Volunteers will help:

• Set up and teardown. This includes moving tables, chairs, and heavy furniture.
• Greet event guests and direct them to the event space.

The Special Events Staff will train and provide support and be present throughout the volunteer shift. We recommend that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and shoes. 

First time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries? Please email Jen Armendariz to schedule a required new volunteer orientation before your first shift.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
