City of Markham - Special City Events

This is a MANDATORY In person Orientation Training for the Honda Indy 2026 for Volunteers who have already signed up for any shifts for Markham's Honda Indy on Aug 14, Aug 15 and Aug 16 2026.

Markham Honda Indy Volunteer - In person Training Orientation details:

Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, at Milliken Mills CC from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

5:00 pm to 7:00 pm - Honda Indy In- Person Orientation Training

7:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Volunteers who have NOT completed their online training, will stay to complete it

7:00 pm to 8:00 pm - Volunteer Leads will have a short meeting

Location:

Milliken Mills Community Centre 7600 Kennedy Rd, Markham ON L3R 9S5  

Reminder:

Please complete your online training portion BEFORE attending this in person training (otherwise, you will stay back on Aug 11th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm to complete it).

• Logon to your MyImpact page
• Go to My Profile - select Training
• Select "City of Markham - City Special Events" as your organization (if you have more than one department on your profile)
• Select "Take" for 2026 Honda Indy Online Training - Tourism Ready: Markham 101
• Upload your "Certificate of Completion" Go to My Profile, Additional Information, select City Special Events, scroll down to Record of Training, click on Choose File to upload.

Requirements: 

• General Online Orientation Workshop (quiz) & AODA training (quiz)
• Vulnerable Sector Check, not expired
• Interview – Event Assistant or higher
• Age 16 +
• Completed 2026 Honda Indy Online Training - Tourism Ready: Markham 101
• Review the Code of Conduct for Recreation facilities [PDF]
