In-kind Donations Assistance - Housewarming baskets
Description:
Donate and assemble a housewarming basket for residents experiencing homelessness who are transitioning into permanent housing. This is a perfect activity for a group such as students attending the same school, and corporate organizations.
Items should be assembled in a laundry basket or large storage bin.
Here is a list of specific items to donate:
- 1 set of twin blankets, sheets, pillow, and pillowcase
- 1 bath towel and 1 washcloth
- 2 each: plates, forks, knives, spoons, and cups
- 1 pot and 1 pan
- 1 shower curtain and 1 set of curtain rings
- 2 dish towels and 2 oven mitts
- 1 pack of hangers
- 10–20 cans or boxes of non-perishable food

About us:
The Weinberg Housing and Resource Center (WHRC) is a low barrier emergency shelter that provides homeless services to over 275 adult men and women each night in the City of Baltimore. Our services include shelter, convalescent care, breakfast and dinner, showers, laundry, case management and a variety of life skills and empowerment classes -- with a focused goal on assisting residents in obtaining permanent housing.
