Whether you're preparing decorations for Autumn Lantern Fest, leading crafts at Family Arts Fest, or serving up ice cream at Strawberry Fest, you are bound to have a memorable volunteer experience at these vibrant community gatherings. With a new focus on sustainable practices at Saanich events, there will also be opportunities for you to join "behind the scenes" teams helping with waste reduction and diversion. Ages 15+. Apply today to be added to our volunteer mailing list!
Responsibilities:
- Arrive on-time and ready for your shift
- Interact with visitors in a friendly and welcoming way
- Be present and engaged for the duration of the shift (no phones!)
- Assist with event activities as directed by staff
- Follow any other instructions (eg. safety) provided during orientation
Qualifications:
- 15 years old or older
- Friendly and responsible
- Follows direction
- Enjoys working with all ages
- Comfortable with crowds
- Willing to be present and engaged for the duration of the shift (no phones!)
Application Process:
- Create a volunteer profile online (5-10 minutes). Click the blue "Fill in an Application" button.
- Sign online forms: Waiver, Code of Conduct, and (optional) Photo/Video Release
- Receive an email when recruitment opens for each event
- Sign up for shifts
