Adopt-A-Trail
Individuals or groups can volunteer to sponsor and care for a section of trail in their area. Sponsors keep a trail clear of litter and debris, document and report any heavy, hazardous, or large objects obstructing the trails. A sponsorship fee covers trail adoption signage and an application and permit is required. Adopt-a-Trail sponsors:
- Participate in a minimum of 3 activity days per year
- Participate in the program for a minimum of 2 years
- Trail sponsorships at parks, forests, and recreation areas will be determined based on trail length.
