Interpretive Programs - Candle Engineer - Set up crew
Purpose (why we are doing this)
Help set up an amazing winter memory! Volunteers are needed for this annual candlelight event. Candle luminaries guide visitors on several miles of ski, snowshoe and hiking trails.

Responsibilities (duties and tasks)
- Set out luminaries (luminaries are candles placed bags along the trail).
- Several teams of engineers are needed to complete this task. Volunteers will work in pairs or teams.
Qualifications needed:
- Volunteer abilities will be matched and older children are welcome to team up with their friends and a parent.
- Engineers need the ability to travel over a variety of terrain in skis, snowshoes or winter boots. Child and adult size snowshoes are available to borrow if needed.
- Able to stand, bend, stoop, pull and carry objects.
- Must be comfortable working in winter conditions for up to 2 hours.
Safety training topics to be covered with volunteers:
- Heat and Cold Related Illness
Minimum Time Commitment:
- Meet at the River Inn Visitor Center at 1 pm for instructions and supplies.
- Set up lasts about two hours (1 - 3 PM)
