New Volunteers:
We always welcome new volunteers! An interview is the first step to join our team. Only successful candidates will be able to volunteer with the City of Markham.
You will be ranked as a Program and Event Assistant
Information Session and Interview Date and Time: Monday April 13 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in Activity Room 2/3
Location: Angus Glen CC, 3990 Major Mackenzie Drive East. Markham, ON.

Please do not attend the interview until you are assigned and confirmed.

What to know/bring:
- Please arrive approximately 10 minutes early!
- Interviews will be conducted in a small group
- Bring your qualifications (Bronze Medallion or higher, Emergency First Aid or higher)
- If you need to cancel your attendance, please make sure to remove your shift.
After the interview:
- Successful candidates will gain access to our opportunities.
- Please explore other City opportunities and/or re-apply for an interview with us for the next season if you are not a successful candidate.
Once you are successful in your interview, you may complete the other qualifications needed to volunteer (Police VSC, General Orientation Workshop, AODA training.) See our website for more information
Qualifications Required
- Age Must be at least 14 or 15 years old
- First Aid Must be at least Emergency First Aid
- Bronze/ Lifesaving and Lifeguarding Award Must be at least Bronze Medallion
