Social support groups provide an opportunity for participants to attend and engage in social interactions away from home.
The structured activities are provided in a group-based environment and are designed to develop, maintain and support social interaction and independent living. Our group-based activities and excursions promote physical activity, cognitive stimulation and emotional wellbeing.
The essential details: Volunteers must be patient, empathetic and able to interact and communicate well with older people.
Program Hours: Shifts are 9:00 - 5:00pm and available most business days. Frequency of commitment to suit the appropriate individual, with at least one shift per month.
