Library Events & Programs - Concierge Event: Wedding Helper

Do you love events? Our Events and Hospitality Team wants to recruit YOU to help with a wedding at the Highlands Ranch Library! Concierge Event Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that community members who book a large event receive a premium quality experience. These volunteers supplement the work of our Events and Hospitality department.
Volunteers will help with the event in event spaces, and in the public open areas of the library.
Depending which shift is selected (afternoon or evening) volunteers might help with any of the following:
- Set up or teardown. This includes moving tables, chairs, and furniture.
- Carry heavy objects and transport customer items in boxes, crates, etc.
- Set up or take down decorations.
- Handle food and beverages (Depending on age, this might include alcohol).
- Help to facilitate during the event.
- Direct guests and vendors.
Note: The Events and Hospitality Staff will train and provide support. We recommend that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Please also bring a water bottle and snack for this 5 hour shift.
First time volunteering for Douglas County Libraries? Please email Kim McClintock to schedule a required new volunteer orientation before your first shift.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 4 days in advance to allow us time to find another volunteer to fill this important spot.
