As the regulator for the Engineering and Geoscience Professions in Alberta, APEGA is often tasked with recruiting professional members to serve as ambassadors of the professions on various boards and committees across the province. These member volunteers contribute to the protection of public safety by offering subject matter expertise in matters in a wide variety of areas such as pressure vessel safety or urban design.
The Association is currently seeking an experienced professional member to serve as a representative on the Edmonton Design Committee. This committee reviews and makes recommendations to the Edmonton City Manager regarding development applications, rezoning applications, public projects and other matters of urban design in Alberta’s Capital.
