Hi,
Thank you for showing an interest in volunteering with Jersey Hospice Care.
Many people think that hospices are places of sadness focused on death and dying. In fact, our focus is on well-being and living well. Our care is about so much more than the specialist palliative treatment of a person’s physical symptoms. We help each person we care for to get the best out of every day and to make each day count.
Volunteering is all about making a difference to other peoples lives. At Hospice we simply couldn't deliver the services we do if it wasn't for the contribution made by our volunteers.
Volunteers work right across every area of our organisation, supporting patients, counselling the bereaved, helping in fundraising and our shops. The time freely given by individuals, like you, helps us to improve the quality of life of adults and young people with life limiting conditions.
