Central Bayside Community Health Services

Volunteers play an integral role in many CBCHS programs, supporting staff to deliver vital services to the community. CBCHS volunteers come from a variety of diverse backgrounds and vary in age from the young to the young at heart.

Volunteering at CBCHS is a great way to learn new skills, meet people, connect with your community and importantly to have fun!

How to apply

Step One: Search for a volunteer role you're interested in
Search by program area or your availability.

Step Two: Fill in an application
To do so you will need to create a personal account. Please keep your username and password as you will be required to log in during your time as a volunteer. We ask you to go through the application form and answer all the questions.

Step Three: Attend an interview 
Once your application has been reviewed we will contact you to set up an interview (online or in the office). This is an opportunity for us to learn more about your motivation to volunteer and to hear what you would like to get out of your volunteering experience.

Step Four: Complete any pre-commencement checks
All CBCHS volunteers are required to complete a National Police Check and reference checks prior to commencement. In some cases an International Police clearance and VEVO visa check may also be required. Additional checks may include the NDIS screening check and Working with Children's Check (WWCC) for risk assessed roles.

Covid-19 Vaccination - All CBCHS staff and volunteers are required to be triple vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Mandatory Vaccination Direction. A copy of your vaccination evidence can be uploaded as part of your initial application. 

Step Five: Training and orientation
Full training and support is provided. During onboarding you will be supported to complete Covid-19 Infection Control training and Hand Hygiene training.
