AlzSWP's Volunteer Engagement Program is a crucial part of our organization and allows us to meet the current and growing needs of our clients. Across our region, there are over 14,500 people with a diagnosis of dementia and an estimated 28,000 family members caring for them. Our volunteer program was created to expand our services within our community and enable our volunteers to give back in a way that is meaningful to them.
We are actively recruiting volunteers for various programs in Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford Counties. - Specifically for Woodstock, Tillsonburg, and St. Thomas.
We are looking for people who:
- Are passionate about making a difference in a person living with dementia’s life
- Are advocates and want to be a part of a Dementia Friendly Community
- Embrace working in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Align with our values- Collaboration, Excellence, Respect, Compassion and Belonging
