Last year 1382 volunteers contributed their time, talent, and energy to APEGA. Together, we aim to advance the engineering and geoscience professions and keep Albertans safe.

APEGA's volunteers enable us to thrive and to reach the community in ways that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Whether you want to review new membership applications, share your expertise with fellow members, or act as a role model for children and students, we have a place for you in our volunteer program!

Highlighted Opportunities:

APEGA Science Olympics Working Group

The APEGA Science Olympics are interactive, inter-school events for students in Grades 1 to 12. Science Olympians use problem solving to develop solutions to a series of challenges that demonstrate how engineering and geoscience impact our everyday lives. The APEGA K-12 Outreach team is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to develop creative engineering and geoscience related activities for the 2025 APEGA Science Olympics.
