Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change — with individuals, in communities, across society – and leading the way to a safe home. Our volunteers are vital in our fight for home.

Volunteering from abroad. All our opportunities require volunteers to be based in England, Scotland or Wales. Unfortunately if you are based in any other location you will not be able to volunteer with us. Please view the role adverts for further details on where each volunteer opportunity is located.

Minimum volunteering age. Just so you know, the minimum age for volunteering with us in Services, Campaigns or Community Fundraising is 18 in England and 16 in Scotland. In our shops, the minimum age is 14 years. Our young volunteers are always supervised by two adults, one of which will have the appropriate level of criminal record check in place.
