Thank you for your interest in volunteering for California State Parks.  California State Parks’ dedicated volunteers support our parks through their work in museums, leading tours and hikes, devoting hours to research, helping keep facilities, beaches, and trails clean and in good repair, patrolling parks on foot, bike, and horseback, offering a welcoming presence in our campgrounds and visitor centers, and so much more!

Our 280 State Parks are divided into 21 districts (shown on the map below).  With hundreds of opportunities statewide, we hope you find an opportunity that will be a good fit for you!

This page will be updated regularly, so if you do not see information about a park you are interested in, check back again soon.  You can also contact the park directly or e-mail Volunteer.inParksProgram@parks.ca.gov to inquire about opportunities.

More information about our volunteer program can be found on our website.  A detailed listing of volunteer camp/park host opportunities can be found here.
