Volunteering can be highly rewarding, with benefits that include:

- Gaining a referee and experience to discuss at an interview.
If interested, volunteers who complete 50 hours of service for our Council, will also be given the option to apply for Council employment positions that are advertised internally. This is not a guarantee of employment but will be an opportunity to apply.
All volunteers for our Council are required to:
- Follow our policies, procedures and all reasonable instructions.
- Seek clarification when needed.
- Maintain expected standards of confidentiality, punctuality, organisational discipline, quality and compliance.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others.
- Participate in induction and ongoing training.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, illnesses and any risks to health, safety and the environment.
