Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Pella Schools!
We are excited to pilot our new volunteer program at Madison Elementary. Our community thrives on the dedication and support of volunteers like you. Whether you have a few hours a week or can contribute to special events, your involvement makes a significant difference in the lives of our students and staff. Thank you for considering volunteering with us. Together, we can make a positive impact on our school community!
Volunteer Next Steps:
Step 1: Complete a Volunteer Application
Select Madison Elementary from the school list at the left and browse the general interest volunteer opportunities.
Click the gray 'Fill in an Application' box. Complete the required fields and click 'Submit Application.' You will receive an email with instructions regarding next steps once your application is approved. After approval, you can view available volunteer activities under the 'OPPORTUNITIES' tab when logged into your Volunteer Portal account.
Step 2: Review the Volunteer Handbook
The Volunteer Handbook includes volunteer information, volunteer expectations, and a statement of confidentiality. After approval, you can also find the Volunteer Handbook on your Volunteer Portal account under MY PROFILE and TRAINING.
Step 3: Complete a Background Check
As part of our commitment to student safety, all volunteers are required to complete a background check. After your application is approved, you will receive an email with next steps to complete a background check. Please complete this step as soon as possible, as you will be unable to volunteer until the background check is processed and approved.
Thank you again for your interest in volunteering, and please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
