Volunteers are the heart of a community. Our volunteers are a valuable resource for our fast-growing, fast-paced city. We are so thankful you want to make a meaningful impact on your community!
Follow the steps below to search for and apply to all the areas that interest you.
STEP 1: Use the options on the left (or at the bottom if on a device) to browse for areas that may interest you and find upcoming, current, and seasonal volunteer opportunities.
STEP 2: Submit a volunteer application for as many service areas as you'd like. Each page has a link to a volunteer application.
STEP 3: All volunteers 17 years old and older must complete a background check. Look for an email from Sterling Volunteers.
STEP 4: Once your application has been accepted, you'll be notified and then able to see and sign up for current openings.
Pro Tip! You must complete a volunteer application for each area which you would like to participate.
The minimum age to volunteer is 14. A few departments, such as Environmental Services and the Frisco Public Library allow volunteers younger than 14 for special programs. The City of Frisco does not offer court appointed community service opportunities.
