Holding Hope and Healing Hearts Peer Support Groups

Holding Hope Canada groups are peer-led support groups, offered at no cost, for Canadian families and individuals whose loved ones use or have used substances. Holding Hope provides mutual support and healing by coming together to share stories, resources  and support one another. Our groups provide the reassurance that you are not walking this journey alone. We provide a safe place to build strength and resilience for families who feel overwhelmed in supporting their loved ones.

Healing Hearts Canada groups offer free bereavement support group specific to those grieving the loss of a loved one due to overdose or substance-use related harms. Healing Hearts support groups offer an open-format peer-led model of support. Healing Hearts does not offer therapeutic counselling.  The group facilitators have lived experience and have personally lost a loved one to substance related harms. All members are 18 or older.

Memorial Photos Of Loved Ones Passed

The photos of our loved ones who have passed is one of our most important tools. We use these photos in events, exhibits and in other ways to show that our loved ones are deeply loved and missed and should not have died due to antiquated, bad drug policies. Please considering giving us permission to use your loved ones photo as required.
