Thank you so much for your support of our efforts to revitalize Eastern Kentucky!
We envision a future where an old, defunct railyard is revitalized to its former glory and brings a much-needed boost to its surrounding area. The Yard will be a groundbreaking multi-use tourist attraction and economic development project that will integrate the region’s history, natural beauty, and culture in a vibrant 45-acre rail-centered campus located in Irvine, Kentucky. This transformative project has been made possible by the generous donations of hundreds of individuals across the nation and around the world.
If you would like to make an online contribution toward our goals, please select a fund from the options below so that we can ensure your donation is allocated to the project most important to you.

For over a decade this festival has been a chance for past and present railroaders, their families, and the community they built to come together and celebrate our town’s history. We’ve been fortunate over the years to have generous donors who have covered the costs of many activities that have enabled us to keep costs down for local families.
We are asking for your support to keep this tradition alive. Festival sponsors’ names will be prominently displayed at the event, and you can also set up a free vendor booth. Please email us at festival@kentuckysteam.org if you would like us to reserve a space for you to set up.
The Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation (KSHC) is a Kentucky based 501 c(3) non-profit organization operating with the intent to educate, entertain and inspire past, current and future generations by operating historic rail equipment. The hallmark of our efforts is the restoration of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Steam Locomotive 2716 to operation. The restoration and operation of 2716 and other historic pieces will prove to be living history and will serve as an educational tool, enhancing heritage tourism and stimulating economic growth.
