San Antonio Zoo Internship Policies

San Antonio Zoo Internship Policies:

Persons accepted into our Internship program do so with the full knowledge that they will be unpaid volunteers at San Antonio Zoo. College credit hours can be earned depending on the intern’s school policy regarding internships. Interns at the San Antonio Zoo may support a variety of departmental needs. The department, to which the volunteer is placed with and directly reports to, will provide on-the-job training and supervision throughout the internship term. Interns are expected to communicate with their direct supervisors, remain punctual, and achieve department-specific learning objectives. The San Antonio Zoo is an equal opportunity employer. San Antonio Zoo will not discriminate against any applicant for internship on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.

There will be a $79 processing fee due upon acceptance into the program. Financial assistance for the processing fee may be available.
