Volunteer Background Screening Requirements

In accordance with state, federal, company regulations, all volunteer positions with the VNA of the Treasure Coast require a background screening prior to placement.

  • Level 1 Background Screening: A State of Florida name-based check that reviews criminal history at the state level.

  • Level 2 Background Screening: A federal screening that includes fingerprinting and a more extensive review through both state and national databases.

The level of screening required depends on the specific volunteer role and the nature of the work involved. Information about which level applies will be provided during the onboarding process.

Please note that eligibility to volunteer is contingent upon successfully completing the required background screening.
