OUR REQUIREMENTS
All volunteers agree:
- you are over 18 years of age.
- you can commit to a minimum of one shift per calendar month.
- you can commit to volunteering for a minimum of 12 months.
- you will attend and complete training on an ongoing basis.
- you will stay up-to-date with all relevant clearances and checks including Working With Children Check.
- you will be punctual for all shifts and provide timely notice when you are unable to attend a scheduled shift.
- you will maintain professional standards of dress and grooming.
- you are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment and upholding the values below.
OUR VALUES

As the first point of contact for many visitors, our museum greeters and education sessional guides reflect the values of the museum.
We are dedicated to creating an environment that is welcoming to all and ensures that visitors from all walks of life— including different languages, races, ethnicities, abilities, ages, and gender and sexual identities—feel included and supported.
All those who work and volunteer at the Old Treasury Building Museum agree to be respectful and welcoming to all, and to undertake ongoing training as required to keep up-to-date as best practices change over time.
