Organization Policies

As both an art museum and a center for research and higher education, the Clark considers volunteers an integral part of the special museum experience provided by our Visitor Services team. Clark volunteers may have a passion for art, enjoy sharing Berkshire hospitality with museum guests, and/or consider volunteering the perfect opportunity to support the Institute.

Prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application and be willing to commit to a required minimum number of hours. If accepted, new volunteers complete an orientation process and participate in year-round training sessions.

Each prospective volunteer is paired with an experienced volunteer to learn by “shadowing.” Following a successful completion of the training period, a volunteer will be offered the opportunity to fill an information desk opening.
