Foster Policy
This document constitutes the entirety of the agreement between the Foster Care Provider (hereinafter, “Guardian”) and Full Circle Cats. It further provides for the release of liability of Full Circle Cats, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and affiliated organizations for the actions of the cats released into Full Circle Cats’ ownership and placed into the care of the Guardian.
In consideration for being allowed to foster one or more of Full Circle Cats' cats, I certify that I understand that, while Full Circle Cats makes a reasonable effort to assess the disposition and health of each cat it places into foster care, it cannot guarantee the actions, health, or dispositions of any of its cats.
I agree to take responsibility for the safety of the Foster Cat, as well as the safety and health of all other animals and people the Foster Cat comes into contact with. I assume full responsibility for any property damage the Foster Cat may cause. I further understand that, since the Foster Cat is a living animal, it may act unpredictably and that I must take reasonable precautions to protect myself and others from any harm posed by the Foster Cat.
I understand that even the most well-adjusted cat may scratch or bite a person when distressed. I, therefore, agree that I will supervise any and/all interactions between the Foster Cat and any other person(s), including young children, until I am comfortable that the person(s) and the Foster Cat can interact with each other safely and respectfully.
By signing this agreement, I am assuring Full Circle Cats that I have the express formal consent of any and all person(s) residing at my address to foster the cat, and that all such persons are agreeable to living with the Foster Cat.
I agree to immediately notify Full Circle Cats of any behavioral and/or health issues that arise while the Foster Cat is in my care. If the Foster Cat sustains a life-threatening injury, I agree to immediately seek emergency medical care for the Foster Cat by immediately transporting it to an Emergency Pet Clinic. However, I agree to consult with a Full Circle Cats representative before authorizing any major medical procedures.
I understand that the Foster Cat remains the responsibility and property of Full Circle Cats and may not be abandoned, given, or sold to any other person or organization, and that Full Circle Cats may visit the foster home or remove the cat from the foster home at any time.
On behalf of myself, my heirs, assignees, guardians, personal and legal representatives, and executors, I hereby release, discharge, hold harmless, and indemnify Full Circle Cats, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and affiliated organizations for any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, liabilities, settlement agreements, damages, and expenses connected with activities covered by this agreement, whether caused directly or indirectly by any negligence (active or passive) attributable to the Full Circle Cats Parties, except for those injuries caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct of the Full Circle Cats Parties.
By fostering with Full Circle Cats, I affirm that I understand and accept the risks associated with fostering and agree to adhere to the policies laid out in this agreement.
