We are currently at capacity and pausing new volunteer application review; there may be some delay in responding to your inquiry.

Our Teen Volunteer Program will remain on hiatus through 2025.
While our teen volunteer program remains on hiatus, the paid HIGH SCHOOL EXPLAINER PROGRAM will be hiring for the 2025-2026 School Year Session starting mid-summer.
A recent SFMTA list included the Exploratorium as a prospective site for Community Service hours; however, the museum does not host court-mandated service opportunities. We are working with SFMTA to update their list as soon as possible.
