Virtual/ At Home Volunteer Policy
Thank you for connecting about your interest in volunteering with AgeCare.
We welcome volunteers to share their time, treasures, and talents in a virtual capacity to create special gifts for our long term care and hospice residents in all of our 15 AgeCare communities.
Items warmly accepted include lap blankets, beautiful handmade cards thoughtfully designed for residents who might wish to share thoughts and messages with their families and friends, carefully crafted fidget sensory items, wooden puzzles, etc.
Your heartfelt contributions are most appreciated.
After reviewing the following AgeCare Volunteer Declaration, please complete our short virtual/at-home volunteer application to connect with the AgeCare Volunteer Advisor.
-If I have worked or volunteered with any AgeCare community, as either an employee or with an agency, this is identified on my application.
-I understand that the information I provide in the application will be used to process my eligibility for a suitable volunteer position. I declare that the information provided on my application will be true and complete. I understand that any false information provided may be cause for denial of a volunteer placement or dismissal after placement.
-I consent that AgeCare may collect, retain information and conduct further investigations with respect to the information. I further consent to the updating of this information as necessary.
-I understand volunteers are required to complete a 3-month probationary period.
-I agree to return any items provided to me for this volunteer role upon request or completion of my role.
- I agree not to disclose confidential information of any nature after I cease volunteering in this capacity.
- I understand that proceeding with the application confirms that I have read the above policy and agree to abide if accepted as an AgeCare volunteer.
