Volunteer Requirements & Policies
Adult Volunteer Program Requirements
- Adult volunteers must 18 years of age or older on the date of application.
- Must commit to volunteering 60 hours annually.
- $25 administration fee. This helps to defer the cost of a criminal background check, shirt, and name badge.
You agree to:
- Follow all volunteer program and Space Center Houston guidelines.
- Bring an enthusiastic and positive attitude to each volunteer shift.
- Submit to a criminal background check
- Attend a volunteer interview between April 24th - 27th.
- Attend a New Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 11th or Tuesday, May, 14th.
- Volunteer at least 60 hours annually (an average of 5 hours per month). This requirement may be prorated for those joining mid-year.
