Volunteer Agreement

I understand that:

As a volunteer, I agree to carry out all Policy, Procedures and Regulations of Adelaide Hills Council and to represent the organisation according to the Code of Conduct;

I understand that volunteers are selected by matching skills and experience to available volunteer roles and submitting an application doesn't guarantee placement as a volunteer with Adelaide Hills Council.

I am responsible for advising Council of any changes in my contact details, health (including medications), driver status, or any other relevant information; 

WHS is a shared responsibility and that it is important to report any concerns, near misses or incidents that may arise for me, colleagues or clients when in my care as soon as possible;

There is a probation period of up to 3 months for new volunteers;

Ongoing volunteer status is subject to maintaining a police clearance and/or medical clearance if requested;

Some programs review Volunteer status annually;

My volunteer role may change as new opportunities or changes to programs arise; 

Generic Volunteer details are used for reporting purposes;

Training will be required for the volunteer role;

 

When you meet with your Volunteer Leader you will be provided with a copy of the Volunteer Information Booklet including rights and responsibilities, Volunteer Code of Conduct and Council Volunteer Policy.  This will also be opportunity to discuss the content in detail and to ask questions.
