Zoo Teen Opportunities

Participants in the Zoo Teen program have opportunities to gain experience in a zoo setting.

Opportunities for first year Zoo Teens include assisting in the Contact Yard with the goats, assisting with Zookambi summer camp, and talking to zoo guests at Conservation Education stations. Aside from the goats, first year Zoo Teens do not have contact with zoo animals, nor do they participate in their care.

Second year Zoo Teens are able to participate in all of the above, plus the opportunity to shadow Animal care staff and assist in the daily care of the animals.

In addition, Zoo Teens are expected to follow all safety rules and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on them and Potter Park Zoo.
