Wolf Haven International volunteer policy
All information in this application is accurate to the best of my knowledge. As a condition of being permitted to volunteer for Wolf Haven, I freely accept and voluntarily assume the risks of personal injury or property damage/loss that may result from my volunteer experience, including but not limited to, any activity while volunteering on Wolf Haven property. I hereby waive all claims arising out of any such injury or damage.
I understand that by submitting this application I agree that if permitted to volunteer I will be required to perform a minimum of one full shift per month. Sanctuary guides must complete training prior to their first self-led visit. I am aware that I must log all hours at the end of each volunteer assignment in accordance with Wolf Haven policies. I agree to wear my name tag when I volunteer. I understand that regular communication with the Volunteer Coordinator is important and that if for some reason I am unable to fulfill my obligation I will contact the coordinator or the staff member it affects. I agree to maintain confidentiality of any information related to Wolf Haven staff or guests or any information deemed confidential until it is released to the public.
Please be aware that as a sanctuary our primary concern is the animals in our care and letting them live as natural a life as we can provide them. We do not have any volunteer positions that involve interaction with the animals in any way outside of observation. Volunteers will not be permitted to enter enclosures with an animal, or have any personal contact.
All volunteers are required to have a criminal background check completed.
