Organization Policies
Vancouver Craft Beer Week Volunteer Terms and Conditions.
1.) All volunteers must be 19+ and must carry identification with them at all times while volunteering at Vancouver Craft Beer Week events.
2.) Volunteers must be Serving It Right or Special Event Server certified (regardless of role) and must have a hard copy of their certification (paper printed copy or card are acceptable) on their person at all times while on shift at VCBW events.
3.) VCBW volunteer shifts are approximately 6 hours long, but may run longer. Breaks, beverages and snacks will be provided. Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes before your shift starts.
4.) Serving It Right Rules Apply! This means no drinking (alcohol) is allowed while on shift. Any volunteer, staff member, or vendor caught consuming alcohol while on duty will be asked to leave.
5.) You must have your volunteer T-shirt (provided) on at all times while on shift. Once your shift is done please change back into your regular clothes so we can easily identify who is working on a current volunteer shift.
6.) Be friendly. Remember that you are the face of VCBW as much as the organizers are - we truly depend on you to be a big part of the great experience our attendees have while at our events.
7.) Have fun! We want everyone to enjoy their experience while working with VCBW - you’re a part of our team and we need your help to make the magic happen...we can’t do it without you, and don’t you forget it!
