Current Updates for SHA Volunteering

The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the volunteer opportunities that are currently available within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).  Volunteer Services is limited in the way by which Volunteers can provide service within our communities.

Please Note:

              - Volunteer applicants applying to the Saskatchewan Health Authority are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.  Proof of Vaccination will be required prior to offer of volunteer position.

              - Volunteer opportunities will change based on the need to have volunteers assist within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. 

              - Please visit us again to see if we have any volunteer opportunities of interest for you. 

              Please note: The city of  Saskatoon and Regina are currently not recruiting volunteers.         


Meals on Wheels Volunteer Opportunity

*Meals on Wheels Available Shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 11:00am - 1:00pm.


Process for becoming a Saskatchewan Health Authority Volunteer


Step 1 – Right Match


Review the current opportunities listed to determine if there is a position that you can match with based on your location, skills, and interests


Step 2 – Apply On-Line for Specific Volunteer Services Position


Please complete the online application as thoroughly and accurately as possible.  This will help us understand your interests and availability in volunteering


Step 3 -- Complete Screening Requirements


Volunteer Services will request the completion of several forms including Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate, Two references, Media Consent, Confidentiality Pledge, and Photo Identification


Step 4 – On-Line Volunteer Orientation


A general on-line orientation to the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be provided for you to complete


Step 5 – Phone Contact/Interview, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check 


A Volunteer Services staff member will make contact with you to arrange a date and time for an interview. They will then provide you with information about obtaining a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. 


Step 6 Training


Training specific to your volunteer position and the location will be provided
