Volunteer Requirements

ALL Volunteers 18 years of age and older must complete and sign the Foothills Humane Society Waiver of Liability, prior to engaging in any volunteer activities (the Waiver and Liability form can be downloaded from the Foothills website or one will be provided at the office).

The Waiver of Liability must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for volunteers under the age of 18.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age to work directly with the animals unsupervised.

Volunteers younger than 16 years old must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times.

Volunteers must have a valid Driver's License in order to transport any animals or drive the shelter's van.

Some activities may require bending and/or lifting.
